 No automatic alt text available.

All of our radios come with this cable that plugs into any portable listening device, such as an iPhone, iPod, MP3 player, Bluetooth or XM tuners, Cassette Walkman, CD Walkman, any brand of battery operated CD player, anything that you have, that the above plug will fit into, will let you play that device through this radio!  AND, IT"S INCLUDED!!!

A small stereo 1/8" jack will be installed somewhere on your newly converted radio

More power, more features than ever before! These conversions are made to fit inside the original radio, so they look and feel correct when installed in the dash. We use your face, case, and tuner assembly.

The original electronics are replaced with a new high power digital stereo receiver designed to work with the original mechanical tuner and controls. Due to the very small size, made possible by extensive use of surface mount technology, we can convert any analog radio, any year, any model, 6 or 12 volt. All original functions are fully operational, including Wonderbar, Town & Country, or other signal seeking tuners. Crystal controlled tuning eliminates drift. Switching between AM and FM bands is done by turning the radio off and then back on again when the radio did not originally have an AM/FM switch. The balance and fader controls are easily adjusted using a unique option that allows the tone control to be used for multiple functions on radios that did not originally have a balance or fader control. Pushbuttons can be set for AM or FM stations using the same method that was used originally.  We DO NOT add any cosmetic appearance changes whatsoever!!!! If your radio has only the AM numbers it will still only have the AM numbers AND ONLY the original AM NUMBERS, we do not add FM numbering to your dial,...FM will be as easy to judge purely by the position,...most people looked through and past the numbers anyway, and hardly a single one of the old radios were true to their numbered positions from end to end on the dial.

The appearance as viewed from the passenger compartment remains original, with all controls functioning as designed. Inside, the chassis which contained the tubes and transformers has been removed and replaced with a new, modern digital stereo receiver and 180 watt RMS 4 speaker amplifier. The original antenna connection and all “up front” controls are retained.  The balance and fader can be adjusted if your radio is equipped with this hidden feature.  Here is a video of how to adjust the Alt Balance and Fader feature on a 1956 Ford F100 round dial radio, here is another video of this feature shown on a 1957 Pontiac radio.   The original mounting is still in place so it goes back in the car the same way it came out. A tiny LED has been embedded in the dial background that indicates status by changing colors for various conditions. AM is red, FM is green. It also functions as a tuning indicator, changing from dim to bright when a station of sufficient strength is tuned in. The LED also changes from green to yellow when the receiver locks on an FM stereo station. There are 4 BTL amplifiers capable of delivering 45 watts RMS each - that’s 180 watts RMS maximum output power! (14.4 Volts, 4 ohm load, 1 kHz). Radios can be configured for 1, 2, 3, or 4 speakers if powered from a 12 volt system. 2 speakers only for 6 volt systems, 1 speaker Stereo Dual Voice Coil DVC systems are recommended where adding a second speaker is not desirable or practical.   Here is more information about installing and operating your converted radio, Owners Manual

Do you have a 6 volt system?

Click on the link below for information about speakers, YES! 4 ohm only! It is required!

When the balance control is set all the way to the right channel and the fader control is set to the front, the radio will enter the mono mode. CDs and/or XM radios will also be in mono. If more speakers are added later, stereo operation will automatically be restored when the balance control is adjusted.  Optional pre-amp outputs are available for those seeking the extra performance of a subwoofer, and or external power amplifiers for that extra level of involvement, clarity and overall detail, nothing can beat a well set up multi amplifier sound system, make sure you know what you are doing, or hire someone who has current and proper knowledge to fuse and connect heavy wiring to supply the amperage needs for serious power output.  BE SURE TO CHECK OUT OUR Pioneer 4 channel digital  power amplifier, huge sound, very small and compact easy to hide, and low price!!!  perfect for classic, antique and vintage cars, who want great sound, but still remain stealth and completely hidden,.. we also have a few other amplifiers to choose from as well, we help you to remember your car's sound system better than it ever was!

Note, Use only 4 Ohm modern speakers only!!  You can NOT use OEM speakers with any of our products or services,...Why would you want to anyway!!??
AND!!   We do not do cosmetic restorations, heavy cleaning and chrome polishing is available at $50.00 per hour extra, AND! Don't send us your junk!!!  We won't touch it either!  Send us a radio that has decent cosmetics and the controls move and feel the way they should.  We are not that good at polishing or removing pits from chrome.   The rust, will stay rust, and make sure that it is the right radio for your dash by actually putting it in your dash!!!  A better looking radio is cheaper to find or buy at a swap meet or eBay!  Let us take care of the electronics!
